PCSOs from Goodmayes and Mayfield Safer Neighbourhood Teams responded after being alerted to a suspected shoplifting incident at a B&M in Newbury Park.

Following enquiries in the area, officers located the suspect nearby and worked closely with store staff to secure evidence, resulting in a crime report being submitted and the matter being progressed.

The outcome was supported by coordinated teamwork, with officers carrying out enquiries on the ground while colleagues completed relevant checks and reporting processes at the station to help advance the investigation.

Store staff expressed their appreciation for the swift response, highlighting that the individual had previously evaded police attendance on multiple occasions.
