CRIME update for August 2026

Dear Resident

Here is an update regarding Burglaries, Vehicle Crime and Criminal damage which occurred in the Sherwood Rise Police beat area during the month of August.

Burglaries residential = 2

Between 28/08 and 29/08 Retford Road – Occupant reporting burglary having found back door and back gate left opened, chop saw missing from living room and bag found thrown on floor.

29/08 Girton Road – Attempt burglary whereby suspects have tried to gain entry by trying the door handle but have then walked off having seen the CCTV camera.

Criminal damage = 0

Theft of motor vehicle = 0

Theft from vehicle = 1

15/08 Caxton Road – Suspect has caused damage to vehicle in order to gain entry, mobile phone and bottle of perfume stolen from within.

PLEASE ENSURE YOU LOCK ALL YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS, ENSURE YOU REMOVE ALL VALUABLE ITEMS FROM VISIBLE VIEW
