A man has been arrested following drunk and disorderly behaviour in the city centre. One of our neighbourhood officers was out on foot patrol in the city centre yesterday (10 Sept) when she came across a man on Gentleman's Walk who was suspected to be drunk and causing anti-social behaviour. A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drunk and disorderly and obstructing a police officer and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning, where he was further arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop. He currently remains in custody. We want to thank the members of the public who stepped in to help our officer during his arrest before further officers arrived. She was very grateful for the assistance. |
