Here’s an update on burglary locally. Burglary Suspects Charged and Remanded
Following our recent post regarding the burglary in progress on Priory Road, Chessington, I am pleased to provide a further update.
The two suspects arrested by officers from the Chessington Safer Neighbourhood Team and Twickenham Emergency Response Team have now both been charged with burglary offences and remanded to court.
This is an excellent outcome and is a direct result of the swift response by officers and, importantly, the prompt actions of residents in reporting suspicious activity immediately.
I'd like to thank the members of the public who contacted police quickly. Timely reporting is often the difference between offenders escaping and being apprehended. In this case, the information provided enabled officers to respond rapidly, locate the suspects whilst the offence was taking place, recover property, and secure charges.
We would continue to encourage residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious behaviour as soon as possible. If you believe a crime is in progress, always call 999. Information from the public plays a vital role in helping us prevent crime, protect victims, and bring offenders before the courts.
