Stop search leads to positive outcome at ship lane car park!

Dear Residents,

Today, during routine patrols, officers attended the Shiplane Car Park off Grains Bar Road, Delph, following information received from members of the community regarding suspected cannabis use in the area.

Acting on the intelligence the community provided, officers located a vehicle at the location. Following further enquiries, the vehicle was stopped and searched, resulting in cannabis being found in the occupant's possession.

The individual was subsequently dealt with by officers and interviewed for the offence to which he admitted and as a result was dealt with accordingly.

This is another great example of how valuable community intelligence is in helping us tackle issues that matter to local residents. Your reports enable us to focus patrols on identified hotspot areas and take positive action where necessary.
