Community Event - Weald of Kent Ploughing Match 2026

Yesterday, PCSO Richards and PCSO Chittenden attended the 80th Anniversary Weald of Kent Ploughing Match, held on Shadoxhurst Road.

The event showcased a wide range of displays and activities throughout the day, including agricultural machinery, dog training demonstrations and other attractions that highlighted the area's rich rural heritage.

It was a fantastic opportunity to engage with members of the rural community, discuss local concerns and provide crime prevention advice on topics such as rural crime, catapult misuse and property security. We also enjoyed meeting many young visitors who were excited to explore the police vehicle and learn more about the role of local neighbourhood policing.

Thank you to the organisers and everyone who stopped by to speak with us. We were delighted to support such a well-attended community event and look forward to future opportunities to engage with residents across our rural communities.
