Community Engagement Event at Stratford Library Officers from the Stratford and West Ham Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) attended a community wellbeing event at Stratford Library, organised by the First 4 Health Group. The event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with local residents, listen to their concerns, and offer advice on how they can help make their neighbourhood safer. As part of Project ADDAR, officers spoke with community members about issues affecting young people, including the risks associated with cannabis use and the misuse of nitrous oxide (commonly known as laughing gas or fast gas). Officers provided information on the harmful effects of these substances and highlighted the importance of early intervention, education, and reporting concerns to help protect young people from harm. The event strengthened positive relationships between the police and the local community, encouraging open dialogue and promoting community safety and wellbeing. | ||
