North Yorkshire Police Community Message – Fraudulent Doorstep Sellers

North Yorkshire Police is reminding residents to be vigilant against fraudulent doorstep sellers and rogue traders operating in our communities.

Criminals may call uninvited at your door offering services such as gardening, roofing, driveway repairs, tree work, or household maintenance, recently they have been offering household goods at an inflated price, claiming to be on a rehabilitation programme. They often pressure residents into agreeing to work immediately, charge excessive prices, demand cash payments, or carry out poor-quality work.

If you are approached by a suspicious doorstep seller or believe someone is operating fraudulently, please report it to North Yorkshire Police by:
