Weekly Update

Dear Residents,

PCSO Sparkes here this is a quick weekly roundup from me and the rest of the Hillfields neighbourhood policing team.

✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team ✅

During the last week your local PCSO's  have conducted a number of community engagements giving crime prevention advice, reassurance to members of the public and discussing any concerns.

St Michaels officers are continuing to tackle anti- social behaviour by conducting high visibility patrols in Lady Herbert’s Gardens, Coventry Transport Museum and Hillfields. 

Within Hillfields we have conducted high visibility patrols around Thomas King House, Swan Lane and Harnall Lane East.

This week your local officers made some great arrests.

Altogether there were 11 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood, including:

An out of force burglary at a car dealership where 6 vehicles were stolen.

A prolific shop lifter has been arrested after committing 3 offences of theft whilst breaching a criminal behaviour order 3 times.

A male made off from officers whilst riding a sur-ron bike, who was traced to a nearby address, where he was found to be a disqualified driver. Officers also recognised him from CCTV as committing high value criminal damage offences in Hillfields.

In addition, we have also arrested offenders who were wanted on warrant and recall to prison.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK:

Following concerns raised by residents on Harnall lane East and Swan lane, the team has been involved in further traffic operations with our WMP Traffic Teams, targeting dangerous drivers/sur-ron riders. 

We attended our regular Cuppa with a Coppa event at The Hope Centre on Vauxhall St.
