Longford Weekly Update

Dear Residents and Local Businesses,

Here is your weekly update from your local neighbourhood Policing Team, to let you know some of what we've been busy dealing with: 

PATROLS

Our officers have been carrying out high visible patrols across the area, paying particular attention to areas that have been reported to have had a recent increase in crime or anti-social behaviour. 

ARRESTS

Six people have been arrested by officers on our team this week, all for separate incidents of thefts from shops. 

BURGLARY

A residential burglary has occurred on Johnson Road on 6th September at 11:25am. Offenders gained entry via an insecure rear door and stole keys to a vehicle, and also stole the vehicle which was a Ford Fusion. 

VEHICLE CRIME

A theft from vehicle has been reported from the car park of Arena Shopping Park, Classic Drive on 5th September. 

A theft from vehicle has been reported on Bell Green Road on 6th September. 

Tools were stolen from a van which was parked on Old Church Road between the 5th – 7th September. 

Tools were stolen from a van which was parked on Arena shopping Park on Classic Drive on 11th September.

PARCEL THEFTS

We have received reports of theft of parcels from outside addresses by persons wearing  delivery company uniforms. Our enquiries are continuing but we are advising residents to remain vigilant about leaving parcels insecure.

We have arranged a Cuppa With A Coppa 

On Tuesday 29/9/26 at 17:00 – 18:00

PACT (Partners And Communities Together)

We have arranged another PACT meeting 

On 23/11/26 at 18:00 

Location : St. Thomas Church, Longford Road / Hurst Road, Longford, Coventry, CV6 6DR.
