Community Engagement at Sussex Way, N7

We would like to thank everyone who attended and participated in the annual street party on Sussex Way, N7. It was a pleasure for officers from the Finsbury Park Ward Safer Neighbourhood Team to meet residents, families, and local community members during this well-attended event.

The gathering provided an excellent opportunity for officers to engage directly with residents, discuss local concerns, and provide updates regarding policing activity and community safety within the neighbourhood. We value these conversations and appreciate the feedback, opinions, and suggestions shared by attendees.

During the event, officers encouraged residents to make use of the Met Engage platform as a way of staying informed about local policing matters and communicating directly with their neighbourhood policing team. Building strong partnerships between the police and the community remains essential in helping us address local issues effectively.

Residents were also reminded of the importance of reporting incidents to the police. Emergencies and crimes in progress should always be reported via 999, while non-emergency matters and information can be reported through 101 or online via the Metropolitan Police website.

Officers highlighted a recent successful policing operation where information and support provided by members of the local community enabled officers to develop valuable intelligence. This collaboration resulted in the identification and arrest of an offender, demonstrating the significant role that residents play in helping to keep our neighbourhood safe.

Community engagement events such as this help strengthen relationships between residents and local police officers, ensuring we can work together to address concerns and build a safer community for everyone.
