Poaching Vehicle Seized in Brabourne Following Partnership Working Across Kent and Sussex

On Saturday 12th September 2026, officers were contacted by a local farmer regarding a suspicious vehicle abandoned near Brabourne. Checks revealed the vehicle had been linked to several suspected poaching incidents across Kent and Sussex and was registered to a false address.
 

Working closely with Sussex Police, the Ashford Neighbourhood Policing Team and the Rural Task Force worked together by attending to the vehicle and identified evidence connecting it to previous offences. Due to the prompt action taken, the vehicle was seized before it could potentially be recovered by those responsible. This is a great example of effective partnership working between local farmers, neighbourhood officers, specialist rural crime teams and neighbouring police forces to disrupt criminal activity and protect our rural communities. Enquiries remain ongoing to identify those responsible and bring them before the courts.
