Appeal following seafront altercation in Plymouth

We are appealing for witnesses following an altercation between a woman and a girl on the seafront at Mutton Cove, Plymouth.

Reports of an ongoing assault were made to police at around 8pm on Monday 31 August. A woman in her 30s had been fishing with her partner when the incident occurred with a teenager who was swimming with her friends.

The woman then reported being assaulted by a woman known to the teenager.

Facial injuries were sustained by the woman who had been fishing and the teenager was treated for a minor injury in hospital.
