Chapel Street, Hythe - antisocial behaviour |
||
|
Residents of Hythe, I am disappointed to report that a small group of young people are once again targeting elderly residents with intimidating and anti-social behaviour. Recent reports indicate that individuals have been entering a residential block of flats, ringing doorbells, banging on windows and shouting at occupants. Particularly concerning is that those being targeted include residents in their late 80s. This behaviour is unacceptable and causes unnecessary distress to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. I would like to thank the residents who have taken the time to report these incidents and provide information. Your support and vigilance are invaluable in helping us identify those responsible and take positive action. I am appealing to anyone who has information about those involved, including individuals linked to the misuse of e-scooters, mopeds or e-bikes in the area, to make contact with me. Information from the community often proves to be the key to resolving these issues and protecting those affected. Together, we can ensure that Hythe remains a safe and respectful place for everyone.
