As the evenings get darker, it's important to take a few simple steps to help protect your home and belongings from opportunistic thieves.

🏡 Top burglary prevention tips: • Always lock doors and windows, even when you're at home. • Keep keys away from doors, windows and letterboxes. • Use timer switches on lights when you're out to make your home look occupied. • Ensure sheds, garages and outbuildings are locked and secure. • Store tools safely as they can be used by offenders to gain entry. • Keep valuable items, such as jewellery and electronics, out of sight. • Consider installing a doorbell camera, CCTV or security lighting. • Mark and register valuable property where possible.

👀 Look out for your neighbours If you notice any suspicious activity, unfamiliar vehicles lingering in your area, or someone acting suspiciously around homes, please report it.
