Land Rover thefts / Vehicle security advice

Good morning Resident,

We are reminding Land Rover owners to take extra precautions to help protect their vehicles from theft.

Criminals continue to target high-value vehicles, including Land Rover models, often using sophisticated methods to gain access and start vehicles without the owner's keys. Taking a few simple security measures can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim.

We recommend that owners:

Always lock and secure your vehicle, even when parked at home.

Keep keys and spare keys out of sight and away from doors, windows and letterboxes.

Store electronic key fobs in a signal-blocking pouch or Faraday bag when not in use.

Ensure any manufacturer security updates have been completed.

Consider additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, pedal locks, tracking devices and driveway security posts.

Park in a locked garage where possible, or in a well-lit area covered by CCTV.

Be vigilant for suspicious activity or individuals showing unusual interest in vehicles in your area.
