Beccles – appeal following incident involving dogs

Officers are appealing for witnesses and help following an incident that occurred on Beccles Common.

On Monday 14th September at approximately 10am - 10.15am two large dogs with docked tails have been reported to have attacked a young springer spaniel which was being walked on lead by the lone female owner. 

As a result of the attack the springer spaniel required stitches for wounds inflicted by the two larger dogs and the female owner was put in genuine fear of injury. 

The person walking the two dogs that were dangerously out of control has been described as a white male aged approximately 65 years old, with short whitish hair, thin build and wearing dark clothing.
