📢 Wallington North Ward Panel - Get Involved and Help Shape Local Policing

The Wallington North Ward Panel met last night, bringing together local residents and the Safer Neighbourhood Team to discuss issues affecting the community. Following the meeting, the agreed priorities for the ward are:

🔹 Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) and Drug Use/Dealing

🔹Vehicle-Related Crime namely Off-road motorbikes affecting park areas, uninsured Surron bikes and antisocial use of e-bikes affecting local residents and park users.

🔹 Theft (Shoplifting)

What is a Ward Panel?

A Ward Panel is a community-led group where local residents meet regularly with their Safer Neighbourhood Team, made up of dedicated police officers and PCSOs. Together, we review local issues, discuss concerns affecting the area, and agree policing priorities and action plans.

The panel provides an opportunity to:

✅ Focus local policing on the issues that matter most to the community
✅ Share concerns and ideas to help shape local priorities
✅ Receive feedback on actions being taken to address local issues
✅ Build stronger relationships between the police and the community
✅ Encourage residents to work together to make the neighbourhood safer

The panel meets four times a year in the evening.

 Interested in Becoming a Ward Panel Member?

To become a member, you should:

• Live, work, or study within the ward
• Support the aims of the Ward Panel
• Agree to the Ward Panel Terms of Reference
• Represent the interests and views of the local community

We are always looking for residents from all parts of the ward to help ensure the panel reflects the diverse views of those who live, work, and study in Wallington North.
