Community Update: Prolific Offender Sentenced to Imprisonment |
We are pleased to update residents that Alisse Giles has been sentenced to a total of 8 months' imprisonment following recent court proceedings. Giles received: The sentences will be served concurrently, resulting in a total custodial sentence of 8 months. This outcome follows proactive work by local officers and investigators, with Giles being linked to 10 separate shoplifting offences affecting local businesses. Despite previous court interventions and opportunities to address her behaviour, Giles continued to offend and breach the conditions imposed upon her by the courts.
This sentence sends a clear message that persistent offending, anti-social behaviour and breaches of court orders will not be tolerated. We recognise the significant impact shoplifting has on retailers, staff and the wider community, and we remain committed to pursuing prolific offenders who cause harm to local businesses and residents. We would like to thank local businesses, security staff and members of the public who continue to report offences and provide information to police. Your support is vital in helping us build strong cases and bring repeat offenders before the courts.
We value your feedback on these updates. If you find our community messages useful, informative, or have suggestions on how we can improve the information we share, please let us know through Met Engage. Understanding whether residents find these updates helpful allows us to tailor future communications and ensure we are providing information that matters most to our community. Thank you for taking the time to engage with your local policing team and for your continued support. Hanwell Broadway Safer Neighbourhood Team
