Assault 10/09/2026 (Tollgate Road): A group of youths assaulted a shop clerk inside the newsagents. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and CCTV footage is currently being reviewed.13/09/2026: An individual booked an escort through an agency and despite paying for services he was assaulted and removed from a premises following a hygiene…issue. No injuries were sustained, though full details of the incident remain unclear.Robbery 13/09/2026 (Custom House): A young man arranged to meet buyers he met online to sell some designer clothing. Upon meeting, the suspects produced a knife and stole the items. Neither party involved is believed to live in the Custom House area.Theft from Vehicles 10/09/2026 (Brent Road): A resident woke to find their car door open. A pair of glasses and a camera were stolen from inside the vehicle.14/09/2026 (Jade Close): A Ring doorbell captured a suspect trying various car doors and managing to open a vehicle's boot. The suspect was disturbed by the resident and fled the scene. Suspect is a white male, blonde hair, slim-build. Wearing black hoody, grey bottoms and black trainers.14/09/2026 (Butchers Road): Number plates were stolen from a parked vehicle.Theft from a Person 13/09/2026 (Freemasons Road): A mobile phone snatching occurred at approximately 10:30 pm.Community Alerts We urge residents to remain cautious of individuals dropping off leaflets offering building or maintenance work. A local resident reports paying individuals for a job that was started but left unfinished, with the workers failing to return. Victim believed they were Irish travellers. A huge and special thank you goes out to the Jade Close Neighbourhood Watch team. They consistently look out for one another and quickly rallied together this week to search for footage of the vehicle theft suspect. Your community spirit is greatly appreciated.
