Good Afternoon, 

It has come to my attention that over the past few days residents seem to be uploading incidents and concerns to their Facebook Platform and Ebbsfleet Facebook Community groups rather than reporting these concerns to us as a force. I just wanted to use this post to remind you of the correct reporting methods.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to report incidents and your concerns to us rather than the online community. We as a police force do not have access to these platforms and are only sometimes informed days after the incident has occurred. 

If we don't know about it then we cant sort it. 

Another thing I would like to address is that Filming in public is NOT illegal. You can film casually in public places. Under Policing Guidelines officers cannot stop you from filming in public. There is no general right to privacy in public places and there is no law that stops you from filming in public places. If you are recording in a public place then please do just be mindful of how the other person may perceive this, everyone has their reasons to not want to be filmed.
