Eastleigh Independent Advisory Group Update |
||
|
Since the end of last year, we have shared a number of updates from our Independent Advisory Group (IAG), giving you an insight into some of the discussions that take place behind the scenes. As these updates have been well received, we wanted to share feedback from the latest Eastleigh IAG meeting, which focused on the number of calls we receive and how quickly we respond. This forms part of the Service Level Agreement that sets out the standards of service we strive to provide for our communities. Following the review, IAG member Rajni said: "Our local police receive hundreds of calls every day, ranging from supporting people in crisis to responding to violent incidents and everything in between. It will come as no surprise that the warmer weather brought an increase in demand for police services. "Members were particularly impressed by the improvement in response performance compared with the same period last year. This shows that local policing teams are responding positively to growing demand while continuing to improve the effectiveness and speed of their response. "We wanted the community to know about this progress, it is a good news story as it provides reassurance that their police service remains committed to delivering the best possible service." Eastleigh District Commander, Chief Inspector Rachel Noble, said: "I am incredibly proud of our frontline policing teams. Every day they work hard to respond to emergencies, protect our communities and support those who need us most. "Improving the number of incidents attended within our target response times is a significant achievement, particularly against a backdrop of increasing demand. "Most importantly, this improvement means we are reaching victims of crime and people in urgent need more quickly, providing support, protection and reassurance when it matters most."
