Halifax Town Centre Update

Officers have been conducting high-visibility foot patrols across Halifax Town Centre as part of our ongoing commitment to tackling the issues that matter most to local residents, businesses and visitors.

Officers have been patrolling known hotspot locations associated with street drinking, drug use and anti-social behaviour. These patrols provide opportunities to engage with members of the public, gather intelligence and take positive action where offences are identified.

As a result of proactive policing activity, one individual was arrested for breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). The individual has since been charged and will appear before the court.

Officers have also been addressing reports of anti-social behaviour involving groups of youths in the Woolshops area. Individuals were identified and dealt with in relation to their behaviour, with appropriate action taken to prevent further disruption to businesses and members of the public.

In addition to enforcement activity, officers continue to engage with local retailers, and members of the community to identify emerging issues and ensure concerns are acted upon promptly. This ongoing work helps us build a safer town centre and maintain a visible police presence in areas where it is most needed.
