St Mary’s Drop In Police Surgery issues raised

Venue: Mahdlo Youth Zone, Egerton Street, Oldham –

Issue raised to be addressed by multi-Agency approach

Lemnos Street – HGVs and trailers parking on the street causing hazards - Local Councillor will contact Highways and investigate the possibility of double yellow lines on the street. These vehicles cause noise nuisance between 23:30 – 05:00,

At the Surgery on 16/09/26 we decided with residents and Claire Hughes from Council Engagement and residents to do a Walkabout on Gower Street and Lamnos Street on 07/10/26 at 5pm to liaise with other residents and sign Petition about the HGVs parked dangerously on Lamnos Street.

Please could you attend this event with us and could you also liaise with Highways to help resolve this issue?

The noise of vehicle’s is a matter for Environmental Services as it was raised that these vehicles are waking up resident as they are being parked up and drove away during timeframe of 23:30-5am. This is affecting quality of life of residents. Email sent to Environmental Services
