There are numerous scams which fraudsters will use to try and take your money and obtain your personal information. They will do this over the phone and online.
Should a scammer call, remember to CALL:
C - Criminals may be calling. Suspect ANYONE you DO NOT KNOW, regardless of who they CLAIM to be. A - Answer “NO” to any personal questions. Don't part with any of your personal information or money. L - Leave the conversation. If you are suspicious or feel uncomfortable with the caller's questions, END the call. A genuine caller will never send a courier to collect cash, bank cards or valuables, ask for your PIN or ask you to withdraw or transfer money. L - Let us know. Report to action fraud on 0300 123 30 40 or www.actionfraud.police.uk
