Anti-Social driving - further action taken

Following on from yesterday's post regarding anti-social driving in Oswestry, we have today issued eight Anti-Social Behaviour warning letters to drivers, along with an additional Section 59 warning to the driver of the vehicle shown below captured on footage from one of our patrol cars driving in an anti-social manner.

We would like to thank everyone who has contacted us and provided information to help address this issue.

To clarify, we are aware that this behaviour is taking place. We are aware that it is not isolated to this area. As with any police investigation, we require evidence in order to take action against offenders. More often than not, that evidence comes from members of the public, whose reports and information are invaluable in helping us identify those responsible and take appropriate enforcement action.

We would continue to encourage anyone who witnesses anti-social driving in the area, or who has dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage of such incidents, to get in touch with us (oswestryc.snt@westmercia.police.uk). Any footage or information you can provide may assist us in identifying those responsible and taking further action.

We are planning further enforcement activity and longer lasting preventative measures.
