Ipswich – Four teenagers arrested in connection with stabbing

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy sustained a number of stab wounds in Ipswich, resulting in the arrest of four teenagers.

The incident occurred at approximately 8.50pm on Friday 11 September in New Cut West.

The victim was with friends when they were approached by a group of four others who then proceeded to stab him four times, inflicting serious injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and has now been discharged to continue his recovery.

Police began immediate enquires into the incident and subsequently arrested four teenagers aged between 15 and 17 - three on suspicion of attempted murder and one on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All four were taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and they have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the attack and asking any motorists driving in any of the area of New Cut West, Felaw Street and Bath Street between 8.30pm and 9pm last Friday, with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.

Any local residents with CCTV or doorbell cameras in the area are also asked to review their footage.
