Witness appeal following robbery at shop in Bournemouth

Officers investigating a robbery at a shop in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 8.30pm on Sunday 20 September 2026 two men entered Nisa Local in Cranleigh Road and filled a bag with alcohol.

They were approached by a staff member and subsequently assaulted him. He did not sustain any serious injuries.

During the incident, the staff member’s watch fell off his wrist to the floor and the offenders picked it up and stole it.

Police Constable Sarah Dutton, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses who were in the area and saw what happened to please come forward.

“I am aware there was a member of the public in the store at the time who assisted the victim and may have filmed some of the incident and I would like to speak to them to take their account of what happened.

“If you have captured anything of relevance on home CCTV or dashcam footage while driving along Cranleigh Road, please contact us.

“This is a shocking incident on a member of staff who was just doing his job and I will be exploring all avenues to bring the offenders to justice and need the publics support for this. Please get in touch with any information, however little you think it may be.”
