Further Theft from Motor Vehicles Reported Across the Area

Following our previous post, we have received a further series of reports relating to thefts from motor vehicles across the Waterlooville area.

We are aware that similar reports have also been received in parts of Havant and East Hampshire, and enquiries are ongoing to establish whether these incidents are connected.

Thank you to everyone who has reported incidents and provided information so far. This information is invaluable in helping us identify suspects, establish movements, and build a clearer picture of offending across the area.

Please be reassured that work is continuing on these reports. The local Neighbourhood Policing Team is actively investigating the incidents, reviewing available evidence, and pursuing all relevant lines of enquiry.

Currently, enquiries remain ongoing. We would encourage all vehicle owners to physically check that their vehicle is secure before leaving it unattended.

📹 CCTV / Doorbell Camera Appeal

Officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team have been out in the affected areas today speaking with residents who have reported incidents and conducting CCTV enquiries. We are grateful for the support received so far and for the willingness of residents to assist with our investigation.

However, there may be additional CCTV or doorbell camera that we are not aware of. Even if you have not been directly affected, footage showing people, or suspicious activity in the vicinity of the locations and times listed above could prove valuable to our enquiries.

Crime Prevention Advice

✅ Always physically check your vehicle is locked before walking away.
✅ Remove all valuables from sight, including bags, wallets, mobile phones, tools, and loose change.
✅ Do not leave vehicle documents or spare keys inside your vehicle.
✅ Consider using a steering wheel lock or other visible security devices.
✅ If your vehicle has keyless entry, store keys away from doors and windows and consider using a signal-blocking pouch.
✅ Report suspicious behaviour around parked vehicles immediately.

We understand that these incidents may cause concern within the community. Please be reassured that the local Neighbourhood Policing Team is actively investigating these reports and working with colleagues across Havant and East Hampshire to establish whether there are any links between the offences.
