Appeal to trace dog owner

Officers in Welwyn Garden are appealing for witnesses and information after a woman was injured by a dog being walked along Stanborough footpath.

The incident happened on Sunday 30 August at around 10.30am. A small chunky white dog was being walked on a long lead, which got wrapped around the woman’s legs. The dog then jumped up at the woman and kept scratching at her legs drawing blood.

The woman walking the dog is described as being in her 50s and dressed in a skirt and smart blouse. The dog was described as a mixed breed the size of a French bulldog.
