Operation Windmere - Arrests made in Illegal Gambling Operation👮🎰

This week, alongside colleagues from the Commercial Beat, I assisted PC 17985 Vivian in Operation Windmere - an operation he is overseeing designed to target illegal gambling on the Southern Gateway Beat. We were also joined by colleagues from the Gambling Commission. 

Four people were arrested last night as our proactive investigation into reports of illegal gambling premises operating in the City Centre continued. The arrests were made after warrants were conducted in Deansgate and Manchester City Centre.

Officers seized further mobile phones, £20,000 in cash and gambling-related items - including gambling tables, records and account books.

Following this, I look forward to returning to Castlefield matters at the end of the week.
