Two suspected burglars arrested in Potters Bar

Police arrested two men after responding to an aggravated burglary report in Potters Bar on Monday (21 September).

Officers received a call at 3.30pm, reporting a suspected aggravated burglary in Shillitoe Avenue.

The Response Team immediately attended the scene and within ten minutes, they located and arrested two suspects.

The men have been bailed while enquiries continue. 

PC Rhys Folly, from the Hertsmere Response Team, said: “I hope this news reassures residents that we take reports of burglary seriously. We responded quickly to the incident and made swift arrests.

“We are working to establish if the suspects were known to the victim but this is a timely reminder to ensure your property is secure.
