Witness appeal for ‘Nurse from Blackwell’ who stopped to help an injured gentleman

There was an incident on Fordbridge Lane between South Normanton and Blackwell back on 18th April 2026. An elderly gentleman was found in the road having fallen form his pushbike. He sadly died some time later in hospital.

Although there are no suspicious circumstances, police are conducting enquiries on behalf of HM Coroner. Our enquiries have identified that an off duty nurse, believed to be from the Blackwell area, may have witnessed the incident and stopped to offer assistance to the gentleman.

The investigation team would like this person to come forward as they might have useful information about the incident.
