Dear residents,

PC Reece, delivered an engaging presentation to pupils at Dulwich Prep School, introducing them to the diverse and important work carried out by the Metropolitan Police Service. The session was tailored to their age group and aimed to bring policing to life by helping them understand how the police work to keep London and its communities safe every day.

The presentation explored the vast scale of the Metropolitan Police and the many different teams that make up the organisation. Pupils learned about neighbourhood police officers who work within local communities, response officers who attend emergencies, detectives who investigate crimes, roads and transport policing teams, public protection specialists, and firearms officers who respond to the most serious incidents. Through real-life examples and age-appropriate scenarios, the students gained an understanding of how these different teams work together to protect the public and solve problems.

The pupils were enthusiastic, attentive, and highly engaged throughout the session. Their curiosity and willingness to participate created a lively and interactive atmosphere, demonstrating a genuine interest in learning more about policing.

Overall, the visit was a highly positive experience.
