The Neighbourhood Policing Team is inviting members of the community to attend a Vehicle Safety Drop-In Session tomorrow, where officers will be available to provide advice and guidance on keeping your vehicle safe and secure.

Vehicle crime can affect anyone, but there are simple steps that can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim.

What advice will be available?

Officers will be on hand to discuss:

✅ Preventing vehicle theft
✅ Protecting tools and valuables left in vehicles
✅ Steering wheel locks and other security devices
✅ Keyless vehicle security and relay theft prevention
✅ Vehicle marking and tracking systems
✅ Reporting suspicious activity and vehicle crime
✅ General vehicle security and crime prevention advice

Simple Ways to Keep Your Vehicle Safe

Always lock your vehicle, even when parked at home.

Remove valuables from sight or take them with you.

Never leave keys unattended or near doors and windows.

Consider additional security devices such as steering wheel locks.

Park in well-lit, busy areas where possible.

Report suspicious people or vehicles seen around parked cars.

We Are Aware of Local Concerns

We understand that vehicle crime and suspicious activity remain a concern for some residents. Local officers are aware of these issues and continue to work proactively to identify offenders, carry out patrols, and tackle criminal activity within our communities.
