NEIGHBOURHOOD POLICING AND PREVENTION UPDATE.

Monthly Community Update from Sgt Dylan Davies – October 2026

I hope this message finds you well. As we head towards October, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

Neighbourhood and Roads Policing officers will be addressing concerns raised by community members in relation to speeding vehicles.

A range of Anti-social Behaviour incidents have been reported across the area. With Halloween and Bonfire Night approaching Neighbourhood Policing and Prevention Teams will be carrying out high-visibility patrols and working with partner agencies to provide reassurance and address these concerns.

Concerns have been raised about the use of E-Scooters and scrambler bikes in the area. Officers will be focusing on enforcement and engagement to address the issue.

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas, and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

Housing Associations – To tackle tenancy-related concerns and anti social behaviour in Llandybie.

South Wales Police – To develop drug related intelligence.

Roads Policing Unit – To tackle Road Safety issues.

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.

Ammanford Police Station – Bike Marking Event was held during September,

Ammanford SABB Meeting (Steal and Be Banned) – Was held involving local retail stores.
