Dear residents
We are appealing for information after an incident of vehicle interference in Ashdown close, Barton Seagrave
The incident occurred between 06.00 - 07.30 am on the 29/09/2026 whilst it was parked on Ashdown Close.
Between the stated times above, an unknown suspect has gained access to a vehicle parked on Ashdown Close, after gaining access to the vehicle the suspect has gone through the glove box. No criminal damage has been caused and nothing has been stolen.
We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information relating to this incident, or that may have been in the area around the time of the incident and heard or seen anything suspicious. Please call us on 101 quoting reference number or 26000585056 report to us online here.

The cost to repair damage to the vehicle will usually exceed the value of the theft Drivers of some Toyota and Honda vehicles and some 4 x 4’s should install measures to deter theft of catalytic converts e.g Catloc | Catalytic Convertor Theft Protection Lock your vehicle every time you leave it, even for a short period Check windows are fully closed Do not leave keys inside the vehicle Consider security measures such as steering wheel locks, alarms, and dashcams Report suspicious activity immediately via 101 or 999 in an emergency
