Dear Resident, This week has been another good week for arrests. Across the week a total of five persons have been arrested for different offences ranging from Recall to prison Theft of a bicycle and failing to appear to court. One of the arrests occurred because of a traffic stop conducted by two of our officers. The vehicle was stopped and the officers went to speak to the male driver. The driver got out of his vehicle and the officers were able to smell cannabis. As the officers have tried to engage with the male, he has tried to push past them to make off so the officers have stopped him. The male has then fought with the officers resulting in both officers being assaulted. The driver of the vehicle was arrested by the officers for several offences. Male has since been bailed to allow the investigation to be completed. Officers on patrols have stopped a number of vehicles this week, among them were two that were seized. One was seized on Sunday for having no valid tax, the other seized on Wednesday for no insurance. The vehicle came to the officer’s attention as it had a brake light out so they conducted checks on the police systems which showed it didn’t have insurance. Vehicle was stopped and taken away by the recovery agent.
Another vehicle was also seized for no insurance on Thursday. Officers pulled the vehicle over after conducting checks. The vehicle was seized and recovered by our recovery agent. ![]() Also, on Wednesday PCSOs on patrol have found a stolen vehicle parked in a residential car park on the border of Holbrooks and Radford. The vehicle was stolen five days earlier from the Solihull area.
On Thursday evening officers were patrolling the new build estate off Swallow Road following reports of Antisocial behaviour in the area including issues with electric scooters and electric motorcycles they sighted the below quad bike being used around the local streets. The officers stopped the riders and as the vehicle is classed as a mechanically propelled vehicle is requires insurance, Which it turns out the rider did not have. This resulted in the officers seizing the quad for no insurance. ![]()
