You asked us to tackle concerns in Oldham Town Centre relating to individuals consuming alcohol and causing anti-social behaviour.

What we did: We introduced a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) in Oldham Town Centre, proactively enforced the conditions, issued fixed penalty notices where appropriate, worked closely with licensing partners to reduce the availability of alcohol linked to anti-social behaviour, and carried out regular high-visibility patrols in the area.

The result: Through enforcement, engagement, and partnership working, we have seen a noticeable reduction in alcohol-related incidents and associated anti-social behaviour within the town centre. We will continue to patrol the area and take action against those who negatively impact our communities.
