South Wales Listens Update – Wildmill You Said, We Did – Wildmill Thank you to everyone who has completed a South Wales Listens survey or engaged with local officers regarding issues affecting Wildmill. The priorities most frequently identified by residents remain anti-social behaviour, drug dealing, drug use and nuisance motorcycles and scooters. In response, your local Neighbourhood Policing Team has continued to deliver visible patrols and work closely with partners to address these concerns. During September, Wildmill NPT activity included: ✅ 58 hours of dedicated patrols ✅ Patrols conducted on 28 separate days ✅ 6 arrests ✅ 3 dispersal notices issued ✅ 21 intelligence submissions ✅ 2 stop searches ✅ 2 anti-social behaviour referrals ✅ 260 engagements with local residents and community members The difference being made Officers continue to maintain a visible presence within the community, providing reassurance, gathering intelligence and taking action where criminality and anti-social behaviour are identified. The significant number of community engagements reflects the commitment of neighbourhood officers to listening to local concerns and working alongside residents, housing providers and partner agencies to improve the area. A wider policing effort These figures relate specifically to Neighbourhood Policing Team activity within Wildmill. In addition, residents continue to benefit from policing activity carried out by response officers, specialist units and wider South Wales Police departments who support enforcement, investigations and safeguarding activity across the area. What next? We will continue to focus on the issues residents have told us matter most, particularly anti-social behaviour, drug-related activity and nuisance vehicles. Officers will remain visible within the community, carrying out patrols, engaging with residents and working with partners to ensure local concerns are addressed quickly and effectively. Thank you for helping shape local policing priorities through South Wales Listens. Your feedback continues to influence where we focus our efforts and resources.
