MAN ARRESTED FOR DRUGS OFFENCES AND ANIMAL CRUELTY

#ARREST | We have arrested a man for drug offences and animal cruelty.

On Friday 2nd October 2026 at around 09:20am, officers attended an address in Trefoil, Amington to execute a warrant.

Officers found an amount of cannabis vegetation and a number of items used in drugs supply.

Officers also had strong concerns for a dog at the address which was found to be in a poor physical state and living in poor conditions. The dog was recovered under S18 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006.

An 18-year-old male was arrested for possession of a class B drug, being concerned in the supply of a class A drug, being concerned in the supply of a class B drug and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.

He has since been released under investigation.
