Vehicle Crime Prevention |

|
Vehicle crime can happen anywhere, but a few simple precautions can greatly reduce the risk of becoming a victim.
✅ Always lock your vehicle and ensure all windows, sunroofs and tailgates are fully closed, even when parked at home. ✅ Remove valuables from sight. Bags, phones, wallets, tools and other items left in vehicles can attract thieves. ✅ Take keys with you and never leave them in the ignition or inside the vehicle. ✅ Use additional security measures such as steering wheel locks, tracking devices or approved vehicle security systems. ✅ Protect keyless vehicles. Keep key fobs away from doors and windows and consider using a signal-blocking pouch. ✅ Park smart. Whenever possible, park in well-lit areas, secure car parks or locations covered by CCTV. ✅ Be vigilant. Report anyone acting suspiciously around parked vehicles or attempting door handles in your area.
🚨 If a crime is taking place, call 999.
