As we head into darker nights we encourage you consider your home security.
It is a fact that criminals do not want to be seen, heard or identified – therefore please consider the use of lighting, cameras, gravel perhaps for walkways as a deterrent.
Do what you can to ensure your property is safe:
Secure all doors and windows
Leave a light on – if possible have an outdoor light too!
Keep hedges and fences low so your home is visible – natural surveillance!
Keep valuables out of sight and out of easy reach!
Do not post online that you are going away, share when you are back!
Ensure all tools and ladders are out of easy access – they could be used to break in with!
