Knife Crime Operation at a Local College |

|
Southfields Safer Neighbourhood officers worked alongside the Wandsworth Town and West Hill Ward officers this morning carrying out a proactive operation at a local college as part of ongoing efforts to tackle knife crime and keep our communities safe. Officers, including both uniformed and plain-clothed officers, attended the college and conducted high-visibility patrols. Knife detection arches were deployed at entrances to help deter individuals from carrying weapons and to identify anyone attempting to bring knives onto the premises. The operation forms part of our commitment to working closely with schools, colleges and partner agencies to prevent violence, educate young people about the dangers of carrying knives, and provide reassurance to students, staff and the wider community. Knife crime can have devastating consequences, and proactive initiatives such as this help to identify risks, prevent offences and keep young people safe. We will continue to carry out similar operations across the area and work with our community to tackle violence and criminality. If you have concerns about knife crime or have information about anyone carrying or using weapons, please report it to police. Information can also be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Together, we can make our neighbourhoods safer places to live and work. | ||
