Re-defining Herts Connected Watch Scheme Boundaries for Hampshire Road, Royston, SG8

To Members of Herts Connected / Neighbourhood Alert - Hampshire Road, Royston, SG8

Good morning,

Firstly thank you for signing up to Herts Connected / Neighbourhood Alert - I hope that the messages that you receive from local police and /or Neighbourhood Watch are helpful and useful to you.

Throughout North Herts we have created “Watch Schemes” - known as “Schemes” officially. This assists in bringing residents in a  local area together which is helpful when zoning messages for accuracy and to help residents to form a local neighbourhood watch group for their road or local area, if they wish to do so.

However in your area of Royston, the grouping in Hampshire Road is too large and currently includes Orpington Road so may be difficult to manage.

Over the next few days, we will re-define the boundaries of the Hampshire Road scheme, which will still include Norfolk Close and Cornish Close, but a new separate scheme will be set up for Orpington Road (also including Berkshire Court).   We will also set up a new scheme for Landrace Drive which currently does not have one.

We expect to have completed the changes by or before Saturday 10th October 2026 - during this time please be assured that you will continue to receive any messages that are issued by Herts Connected.
