Halloween Safety Advice |

|
Dear Brookside Trick or Treaters,
We want everyone to have a fun, safe and enjoyable Halloween so please remember to be respectful of others and follow the below advice before heading out trick or treating tonight:
Only visit houses that are welcoming trick or treaters- If a property displays a "No Trick or Treating" poster or has no Halloween decorations or lights on, please respect their wishes and do not knock on the door Stay with friends or a responsible adult- Younger children should always be accompanied by an adult Be respectful- Remember that not everyone celebrates Halloween. Respect people's properties, gardens, vehicles and decorations Do not knock on the doors of strangers- Only visit people you know and never enter a stranger's house Stick to well-lit areas- Wear bright or reflective clothing, carry a torch and always remember road safety Respect vulnerable residents- Do not visit elderly members of the community and be mindful not to frighten vulnerable people Keep tricks within the law- What may seem like a prank can be criminal damage if it causes harm to property. Any offences will be dealt with accordingly Most importantly, have fun this spooky season!- Enjoy the celebrations, look after each other, and help make Halloween a safe and enjoyable event for everyone in our community | ||
