Ipswich – Appeal to trace victim of attempted robbery

Police are issuing an appeal to trace the victim of an attempted robbery in Ipswich last month.

The incident occurred just before 10pm on Saturday 26 September on Cornhill, when police were notified by CCTV operators that a man was attempting to steal a woman’s handbag.

Officers attended the scene and whilst they were detaining the suspect, the victim left before her details could be obtained.

Officers are appealing for the victim of the incident to make contact with them so they can progress the investigation.

The victim – or any witnesses to the incident – are asked to contact the South Response Investigation Team, quoting reference: 37/57243/26.
