Community Safety News.

Dear Residents,

I hope this update finds you well.

Over the past week, I have been conducting proactive patrols across the St Peters and Broadstairs areas. Following the busy summer period, a noticeable reduction in seasonal activity has contributed to a quieter and safer environment for both residents and visitors.

A primary focus this week involved addressing community concerns regarding an unoccupied property in central Broadstairs. We received reports of unauthorised and anti-social behaviour at the premises while the occupant is currently serving a custodial sentence. I have engaged directly with neighbouring residents to offer reassurance and support, and measures are now in place to ensure the property remains secure.

I also attended a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) community engagement event at Ellington Park in Ramsgate. These events are vital for providing safeguarding advice, offering public reassurance, and addressing direct questions from the community.

I am currently planning a similar VAWG engagement initiative to be held in Broadstairs in the near future.

Upcoming Community Engagement:

These sessions provide an excellent opportunity to meet and discuss any local issues or concerns you may have. I encourage as many of you as possible to attend.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind regards,
