Sillhill Vehicle Crime

Good evening all,

The Sillhill Ward has started to see an increase in vehicle crime, this is mainly Theft From Vehicle offences whereby the offender/s are trying car doors during the early hours of the morning and stealing items within the vehicles which have been left unlocked. This has been mainly around the Warwick Road / Sillhill Hall Road area and also around Cornyx Lane / Hermitage Road area.

From enquires conducted earlier this evening, a male appears to have come from Seven Star Road onto Warwick Road where he has been trying car doors, this was around 0620hrs on 05/10/26.

Please ensure all vehicles are locked and secured and remove all valuables from the vehicle. If anyone has any CCTV of any offender/s please contact the team.

If anyone is seen acting suspiciously on or around driveways / vehicles please call Police on the 9's so that officers can respond asap and apprehend the offender/s.

The team are conducting targeted patrols around the key roads, we will keep you updated with any arrests made.

Kind Regards
