🚔💜 Thanet Neighbourhood Policing Team: Supporting the Violence Against Women and Girls Initiative 💜🚔

Good evening Thanet,

Across the last week, officers across Thanet have carried out patrols, operations and community engagement activities as part of our ongoing commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

✅ Officers conducted a targeted operation which identified individuals displaying early signs of predatory behaviour, while also dealing with several people found in possession of illegal drugs.

👮‍♂️ Throughout the week, officers engaged with individuals known for concerning behaviour, delivering clear advice and reinforcing that offences linked to VAWG will be dealt with robustly.

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ We also hosted a successful Walk and Talk event in Ramsgate alongside local councillors and residents, providing an opportunity to discuss community safety concerns and identify ways to make local areas feel safer.

🤝 Officers attended community events and information stalls, including at Ellington Park in Ramsgate, where we worked with Thanet District Council to provide safety advice and raise awareness of the VAWG initiative.

🎒 It was particularly encouraging to speak with local young people after the school run, many of whom showed a keen interest in policing and the work being carried out within our communities.

📲 We were also delighted to welcome several new My Community Voice sign-ups, helping us stay connected with even more residents across Thanet.

💬 Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak with us this week. Your feedback and support help us shape our policing priorities and keep our communities safe.

💜 We have thoroughly enjoyed engaging with our communities this week. While these activities have been a great success, our commitment to tackling Violence Against Women and Girls continues every day. We will keep working alongside our partners and residents to support this initiative and make Thanet a safer place for everyone.

🚔💙 Together, we can create safer streets and stronger communities 🚔💙
